It's Saturday, and I'm back with Day 3 of Ottawa Artist Week. I do hope you're enjoying seeing some of the great art originating with artists in Ottawa. Today, I'm profiling the florals of Alison Fowler, done in fantasticly colourful acrylics -- perfect for grey, January weather like we have here today. Here are some sample images, and you can check out more of Alison's work at http://www.artbyalison.com/ If you live in Ottawa, you can also head down to Alison's solo show at The Foolish Chicken, a funky restaurant at 79 Holland Avenue. Happy rest of the weekend, everyone!

The artwork is fantastic! Such beautiful flowers!
Hi ND! Glad you've enjoyed. I love the colours!
I just purchased a painting of 3 birch trees by Alison Fowler. She has many paintings exhibited at The Foolish Chicken restaurant in Westboro. They're wonderful! Some poppy paintings are there as well.
I'm just panting--these are gorgeous!
I love the poppies best, very beautiful.
Hi Anonymous - Thanks for the tip!
And Tara and Bronwyn, I agree with you completely -- they are gorgeous.
Adoring those top two! Are they big pieces?
Hi Maryam. Thanks for stopping by! They are terrfic, aren't they. The first one, Most Beautiful, is 14" x 18", and the second, More than Pink, (which I adore), is 12" x 12" -- so, not big. Interested?
Wow!! These are beautiful - especially the first one - but you knew I'd love them :-) didnt you :-) :-)!!
